Mesa Public Schools is proactively redesigning its district office to create a more efficient and sustainable organization. This strategic realignment is a direct response to declining student enrollment and associated budget pressures, allowing us to adapt and strengthen our district for the future.

The redesign streamlines our leadership by creating a more responsive structure that provides schools with direct, regional support. This change will reduce district-level administrative and certified specialist positions by over 40 positions, resulting in a savings of approximately $3.75 million. This includes reducing five assistant superintendent positions to two cabinet level positions. These changes are focused at the district office, ensuring the least possible impact on our students, teachers, and schools.

This is not just about managing a decline; it's about building a stronger foundation. This redesign makes us more efficient and financially stable, allowing us to focus our resources on the classroom and continue to provide an excellent education for every student we serve.

Mesa Public Schools continues to be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars while upholding our promise that every student is known by name, served by strength and need, and graduates ready for college, career and community.
